El laboratorio Pfizer negó hoy, en el marco de una reunión informativa en la Cámara de Diputados, que haya habido algún “pedido de pagos indebidos o existencia de intermediarios” en las negociaciones con el Gobierno nacional por la adquisición por parte del Estado argentino de vacunas contra el coronavirus.
“En ningún momento hubo pedido de pagos indebidos o existencias de intermediarios”, aseveró el gerente de Pfizer, Nicolás Vaquer, al exponer en una reunión informativa que se realizaba este mediodía en la Cámara de Diputados.
Por otro lado, confirmó que el laboratorio está en “conversaciones con el Ministerio de Salud y la Secretaría Legal y Técnica” para la compra de vacunas contra el coronavirus por parte del Estado nacional.
En la reunión estaban presentes este mediodía, además, los presidentes de las comisiones de Legislación General, Cecilia Moreau; y de Salud Pública y Acción Social, Pablo Yedlin, ambos integrantes del bloque del Frente de Todos.
“Hay ideas concretas de cómo avanzar. En ningún momento hubo pedido de pagos indebidos o existencias de intermediarios”, enfatizó Vaquer en su exposición ante los diputados, con lo cual echó por tierra denuncias y acusaciones que habían sido lanzadas desde Juntos por el Cambio.
En ese marco, aseveró que ese laboratorio “no tiene ningún interés en intervenir con los bienes del Estado” y sostuvo que “esto incluye bienes naturales, reservas del Banco Central, activos culturales”, como dejaron entrever funcionarios y referentes del Frente de Todos.
“Se sigue avanzando en una negociación para un eventual acuerdo” para la compra de vacunas contra el coronavirus de ese laboratorio por parte del Estado nacional, ratificó el representante del laboratorio.
Previamente, en la apertura de encuentro, el presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Sergio Massa, había asegurado que el objetivo de la reunión con los laboratorios era “tener la máxima información en un tema que es de gran sensibilidad para la sociedad” y anunció que se conformará un observatorio en el Congreso.
Massa habló previo a que comiencen a exponer los representantes de los Laboratorios Pfizer, Nicolás Vaquer y Miguel del Pino, y del Laboratorio Richmond Marcelo Figueiras.
La decisión de convocar a los representantes de los laboratorios fue resuelta el miércoles pasado por el presidente del cuerpo, Sergio Massa, que contó para ello con el respaldo de la mayoría de los bloques legislativos.
