“Nace una nueva industria en Mar del Plata. Ahora van a estar registrados los destiladores caseros y los artesanales: las empresas ya se pueden radicar en la ciudad. Esto genera empleo de calidad”, celebró Muro y agregó: “antes este sector tenía prohibido trabajar en General Pueyrredon y ahora, gracias a la gestión del Municipio, sí puede”.
En relación con la empresa, Pablo Apodaca, uno de los socios fundadores, destacó que “Kalmar es la primera destilería de bebida blanca de Mar del Plata y las próximas semanas estaremos lanzando nuestro primer producto: un gin artesanal sin TACC”.
Déborah Sabsay, también fundadora, señaló: “lo que nos interesa como una de las visiones de la marca es que sea de Mar del Plata para el mundo, donde estén esos sabores propios de la ciudad”.
Otra de las misiones fundacionales de Kalmar es operar como una destilería colaborativa (que propicie el espacio de encuentro de maestros destileros, bartenders y chefs), con proveedores locales, fomentar la economía circular en su proceso y generar impacto en la comunidad a través de diversas articulando con cooperativas, ONG’s y el Municipio para incentivar la inserción laboral.
