Representantes de aerolíneas internacionales presentaron hoy una queja formal ante el Gobierno argentino por los cupos impuestos al ingreso de pasajeros en el marco de la pandemia, durante una corta reunión con funcionarios de Transporte en la que no hubo avances.
El encuentro virtual –duró 10 minutos– se realizó a pedido de directivos de la Asociación Internacional de Transporte Aéreo (IATA), para analizar la situación de los argentinos que quedaron varados en el exterior, que ya rondan los 15 mil, según las aerolíneas.
“Fue una reunión muy limitada, duró muy poco, y no nos enviaron ninguna propuesta. Sólo presentaron la queja formal y nosotros explicamos la situación argentina, pero estamos abiertos al diálogo constante”, dijo a la agencia Noticias Argentinas una fuente de la cartera de Transporte.
Consultado sobre si habría posibilidades de flexibilizar el cupo de 600 pasajeros diarios impuesto para el ingreso al país, la misma fuente respondió: “Eso lo define el Ministerio de Salud, que evalúa la situación sanitaria”.
Así, por ahora el reclamo de las aerolíneas para que se dejen llegar más vuelos parece no tener indicios de prosperar.
Este viernes vence la decisión administrativa a través de la cuál el Gobierno redujo la cantidad de argentinos que pueden ingresar en avión desde el exterior, de 2.000 a 600 por día, para intentar reducir el riesgo de entrada de la temible variante Delta del coronavirus.
En el zoom, por el Gobierno participaron la titular de la Administración Nacional de la Aviación Civil (ANAC), Paola Tamburelli, y el secretario de Planificación del Ministerio de Transporte, Gastón Jaques.
Por IATA no participó su vicepresidente regional para América, Peter Cerdá, pero formaron parte del encuentro la representante regional para la Argentina, Paraguay y Uruguay, María José Taveira; el miembro de Relaciones Exteriores para América Latina y el Caribe, Alejandro Muñoz Torres; y el jefe de Desarrollo Comercial para la región de las Américas, Lars Pottgiesser.
Luego, en un comunicado, la IATA señaló que durante el zoom con los funcionarios argentinos “desde el principio dejaron claro que no tenían información adicional que proporcionarnos, ya que no son ellos quienes toman las decisiones sobre los temas planteados”.
“Seguimos insistiendo en que el gobierno debe levantar los cupos impuestos de pasajeros para los vuelos internacionales”, indicó la entidad.
Advirtieron, además, que continúan “sin saber qué va a pasar la próxima semana, cuando la restricción actual acabe”.
“Queremos reiterar que esta incertidumbre sigue afectando a los argentinos y residentes varados, y a las aerolíneas que deben operar los vuelos para traer a estas personas de vuelta.
Insistimos en la necesidad de reunirnos con el jefe de Gabinete, Santiago Cafiero, quien toma las decisiones finales en este sentido”, señaló la entidad.
En tanto, Cerdá hizo declaraciones al canal TN y se quejó: “Tenemos más de 14 mil pasajeros que se encuentran en distintas partes, cuyos vuelos fueron cancelados”.
“No tenemos ningún tipo de comunicado oficial del gobierno sobre qué va a pasar a partir del día 12, cuando tendríamos que tener conocimiento sobre cuáles van a ser los vuelos aprobados”, indicó.
Y se quejó: “No estamos recibiendo transparencia, coordinación o alineamiento por parte del gobierno”.
