La nueva sede del Departamento de Sanidad y Control Animal, ubicada en Canesa esquina Guahanani -a pocos metros de la sede histórica de Hernandarias 10.200- está en funcionamiento. El intendente Guillermo Montenegro recorrió este jueves las instalaciones.
Juan García Camaño, veterinario del área, estuvo presente en la recorrida y contó: “Aquí se trasladó el quirófano y también se abrieron oficinas para el maltrato animal donde los vecinos, luego de realizar la denuncia en la comisaría de su barrio, se acerca con la misma, se abre un expediente y un inspector se acerca al lugar”.
Además, agregó que “está en funcionamiento el IACA, un programa de asistencia con animales tanto para niños con discapacidades y personas mayores. También contamos con un espacio destinado a enfermedades epidemiológicas donde se atienden casos de triquinosis, leptospirosis y otras enfermedades de denuncias obligatorias”.

En la recorrida por la nueva sede, también estuvieron presentes la secretaria de Salud, Viviana Bernabei y la subsecretaria de Salud, Carina Conde.
