La inquietud se multiplicaba este domingo en Perú tras una semana sin saber quién será el nuevo presidente, mientras el candidato de izquierda Pedro Castillo mantiene una ligera ventaja en el lento escrutinio y su rival de derecha Keiko Fujimori denuncia fraude.
En un editorial luego de marchas de partidarios de ambos candidatos, el diario El Comercio advirtió este domingo de la posibilidad de “un clima social inmanejable y desenlaces sumamante lamentables” ante la indefinición tras la segunda vuelta del domingo pasado.
Pese a las denuncias de Fujimori de “fraude bajo la mesa”, la Misión de Observación Electoral de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) consideró los comicios limpios y sin “graves irregularidades”.
Perú, que tuvo tres presidentes en 2020, sufre la incertidumbre, mientras Fujimori moviliza a sus seguidores a las calles para denunciar “fraude” y “hechos muy graves” en la votación y el escrutinio.
Castillo, en tanto, se siente ganador, y anoche volvió a pedir a sus simpatizantes “paciencia” y “serenidad”, al tiempo que instó a “no caer en la provocación, ya que estamos en un momento crítico”.
“En transcurso de los días posteriores a la segunda vuelta del 6 de junio ha hecho ya un daño tremendo a la frágil institucionalidad nacional”, dijo El Comercio en su editorial, en el que también fustigó a ambos candidatos.
“De un lado, sin que haya culminado el escrutinio, Castillo comparte efusivamente en sus redes sociales los prematuros mensajes de felicitación por su elección como presidente del Perú de líderes” latinoamericanos, sostuvo.
“De otro lado, en una actitud no menos inconveniente que la anterior, Fujimori continúa con las acusaciones de fraude y responsabiliza a la ‘izquierda internacional’ de querer ‘torcer la voluntad popular’ a través de manipulaciones en mesa”, agregó.
“El resultado de este ambiente tóxico es la exaltación de los ánimos de los seguidores de uno y otro lado (…) La mala gestión de elecciones ajustadas puede llevar a un clima social inmanejable y desenlaces sumamente lamentables”, advirtió El Comercio.
El JNE todavía debe resolver pedidos de impugnación de miles de votos y de cientos de actas de mesas de sufragio, sobre todo por parte de Fujimori, la última esperanza que ella tiene para revertir los resultados.
