Tras anunciar nuevas flexibilizaciones en todo el país, el Gobierno Nacional afirmó que planea para septiembre próximo la reapertura de las fronteras terrestres con Chile y Uruguay.
La directora de Migraciones, Florencia Carignano, aseguró que la idea del Gobierno es reabrir “a partir del 6 de septiembre” las fronteras terrestres con esos dos países vecinos, con controles y protocolos similares a los que se le realizan a quienes ingresan al país a través del aeropuerto internacional de Ezeiza.
“Desde el 6 de septiembre vamos a hacer una prueba piloto de turismo con Chile y Uruguay. Pero el caso de la variante Delta (del coronavirus) nos demostró que todo se puede ir al tacho”, expresó la funcionaria nacional. En declaraciones radiales, Carignano indicó: “Cuando abramos las fronteras terrestres también va a tener que aplicarse un protocolo similar al de Ezeiza. Los corredores van a tener que ser seguros, con protocolo de testeo y lugar.
La directora de Migraciones, en tanto, subrayó que en las próximas semanas se podría ampliar el cupo de 1.700 pasajeros diarios que puede ingresar al país vía Ezeiza. “Los números de contagios descendieron y nos permite empezar a flexibilizar. Tratamos de cerrar un poco para estar mejor parados ante la variante Delta. En estas cinco semanas ganamos tiempo para demorar la llegada de la variante delta y vacunamos a 12 millones de personas”, destacó Carignano.
Al respecto, señaló que “si todo sigue bien” y los casos de coronavirus siguen en baja, “se va a ampliar de nuevo a 2.300 personas” por día. La funcionaria nacional también destacó que el incumplimiento de la cuarentena en los viajeros bajó “del 40% a 10%” en las últimas semanas, luego de que se reforzaran los controles y de que Migraciones realizara denuncias contra quienes violaran el aislamiento tras arriba a la Argentina.
