Carlos Bilardo cumplió 83 años y en medio del reconocimiento y el tributo merecidos que le ofrece el fútbol argentino, su hermano Jorge realizó una conmovedora revelación al contar que el DT campeón del mundo en México 1986 pregunta “¿por qué hay tantas banderas de Maradona en las canchas?”.
“Carlos no sabe lo de Cacho (Malbernat), ni del Tata (Brown), ni de Sabella ni de Diego. Cuando fue lo de Maradona le poníamos una serie de Netflix. Mira los partidos con el volumen bajo pero el otro día me dijo ‘veo muchas banderas de Diego, ¿qué pasa?’. Y yo le digo viste cómo es la gente, le ponen banderas en todos lados”, detalló Jorge Bilardo en una entrevista radial con “Cielo Sports”.
“Si Carlos se entera de la manera en la cual murió Diego, los mata a todos”, contó Jorge hace una semana en diálogo con “Súper Deportivo” por Radio Villa Trinidad cuando además reveló que su hermano ya había recibido la primera dosis de la vacuna contra el coronavirus.
Tras estar un tiempo alojado en una residencia geriátrica en el barrio de Almagro y luego de su internación en el Instituto Argentino del Diagnóstico y Tratamiento, Bilardo pasa sus días en su casa, acompañado de su familia y al cuidado de una serie de enfermeros como desde el momento que le diagnosticaron el síndrome de Hakim-Adams.
Más allá de su estado de salud, si hay algo que no puede faltar en la vida del doctor es el fútbol y aunque ya pasaron casi cuatro meses de la muerte de Maradona, en los medios se habla y mucho del tema. Por eso tanto la familia como los enfermeros que lo acompañan deben estar muy pendientes: “Si ya no es tanto lo de Diego en los partidos, sí en otros canales de noticias. Ahora le ponemos los partidos cuando empiezan y con volumen bajo porque no quiere escuchar. Ve todo, ve fútbol europeo y a Estudiantes lo vemos siempre juntos”.
Mirando la mitad del vaso vacío, Jorge Bilardo señaló que le duele verlo así “porque él siempre fue muy activo. Te llamaba a cualquier hora, aunque sean las 3 de la mañana. Cambió el ritmo de su vida”. Pero siendo optimista en medio de la pandemia y teniendo en cuenta que se trata de un paciente de riesgo, agregó: “Si esto mejora pensábamos llevarlo al country, y quizás a la cancha. Ve su estatua y se ríe”.
