La Municipalidad destruyó 5900 pares de lentes de sol que se comercializaban ilegalmente en puestos de venta ambulantes, ubicados en distintos puntos de la ciudad.
La mercadería había sido decomisada tras diversos operativos de la Subsecretaría de Inspección General que se llevan adelante todo el año. El procedimiento de destrucción de los lentes se llevó a cabo con una aplanadora en la sede del Ente Municipal de Vialidad y Alumbrado Público (Emvial).
Durante el acto estuvieron presentes el secretario de Gobierno, Santiago Bonifatti, y el subsecretario de Inspección General, Marcelo Cardoso.
“Comprar un anteojo en la calle implica exponerse a todo tipo de riesgos que a corto o largo plazo van a generar una anomalía en el ojo. Si tenemos un ojo sano podemos acelerar un proceso de tener que usar un anteojo antes de tiempo por el mal uso”, manifestó Marcelo Centurión, presidente del Colegio de Ópticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (COPBA).
Asimismo, Centurión agregó que “es importante destacar que los anteojos de lectura o lentes de sol que se compran en la calle son de plástico inyectado, lo que puede generar un gran problema en la vista a futuro”.
En relación al marco legal que fundamenta el accionar, sostuvo que “todo el material incautado en operativos a instancias de la ley 12.239, contempla la destrucción del mismo, para sacarlo fehacientemente de circulación”.
La mencionada reglamentación regula el funcionamiento de las casas de óptica y todo elemento óptico que se comercializa en la provincia de Buenos Aires. En este sentido, se permite su venta exclusivamente en las ópticas habilitadas por el Ministerio de Salud de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
