En la Ciudad de Buenos Aires ya está vigente desde este lunes la resolución oficial que determina nuevos procedimientos para el registro y la tenencia de las 17 razas de perros que fueron declarados potencialmente peligrosos por Ley porteña Nº 4078, sancionada hace diez años.
La Agencia de Protección Ambiental de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires publicó lo que denominó “Procedimiento de inscripción en el Registro de Propietarios de Perros Potencialmente Peligrosos”, cuyo objetivo es regular la tenencia de aquellos caninos considerados peligrosos a fin de preservar la vida y la integridad física de las personas y otros animales.
Entre los requisitos, se destaca la obligatoriedad que que los perros sean identificados con una chapa, en la que tiene que estar el nombre del dueño y el número de inscripción del animal en el registro oficial.
Además, en la calle tendrán que tener bozal y ser llevados con una correa corta, de un máximo de dos metros, y contar con la vacuna antirrábica al día.
Por su parte los dueños necesitan un seguro de responsabilidad civil que cubra los gastos de los daños o lesiones que puedan causar sus perros.
La ley 4078, que regula la tenencia de este tipo de animales, enumera 17 razas de perros peligrosos: pit bull terrier, staffordshire bull terrier, american staffordshire terrier, dogo argentino, fila brasileño, tosa inu, akita inu, doberman, rottweiller, bullmastiff, dogo de burdeos, bull terrier, gran perro japonés, mastín napolitano, presa canario, ovejero alemán y cane corso.
Carolina De Sande, titular de la Unidad de Coordinación, Sanidad y Tenencia Responsable de Mascotas, de la administración porteña, afirmó que “el procedimiento de inscripción incluye 17 razas, sus cruzas y todo aquel perro mestizo que pese más de 20 kilos y tenga un perímetro torácico entre 60 y 80 cm, gran musculatura y fuerza de mordida”
La especialista añadió que las razas enumeradas “no las consideramos peligrosas, pero son animales que en el caso de una mordedura pueden ocasionar más daño que un animal de menor porte, pese a que cualquier animal puede tener un temperamento fuerte y morder, esta categoría de animales puede ejercer un daño mayor”.
En diálogo con Radio La Red, De Sante hizo hincapié en la importancia de la educación temprano del cachorro, y de todo lo que hace a la tenencia responsable, “no solo de estas razas sino de cualquier perro”.
“A todos los inscritos le vamos a ofrecer un curso de capacitación de tenencia responsable” remarcó la coordinadora y afirmó que “una persona con conocimiento para criar a su mascota hará que su perro tenga un temperamento mejor”.
La inscripción se debe tramitar vía web mediante el Sistema Tramitación a Distancia (TAD) gestionado por el Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires…
