La presidente del bloque de concejales de la Unión Cívica Radical, Vilma Baragiola, ingresó al Concejo un pedido de informe destinado al Instituto de Obra Médico Asistencial (IOMA) exigiendo respuestas por la falta de servicio de emergencias.
El pedido tiene como fin recibir respuestas ante “las denuncias recibidas de parte de vecinos de nuestra ciudad por la falta de respuesta del servicio de emergencias contratado y la negativa de internar pacientes de esa obra social tanto en clínicas privadas como hospitales públicos”.
La edil explicó que “hace ya varios meses que venimos recibiendo denuncias y reclamos de afiliados a IOMA que plantean que no solo ante situaciones de Covid sino como también de distintas emergencias, han tenido enormes dificultades para conseguir camas en nosocomios de la ciudad”.
“Hemos decidido presentar un pedido de informe pidiendo respuestas sobre las gestiones que se vienen realizando desde la obra social para articular tanto con el sector público como con el privado a fines de optimizar el recurso de camas para los afiliados” fundamentó la edil.
Para finalizar, y a raíz de distintos testimonios recibidos en los barrios de la ciudad, Baragiola explicó que “también solicitamos se informe cuáles son las líneas directas con las que cuenta el afiliado al momento de pedir un traslado y en caso de no contar con la misma, la posibilidad de una urgente implementación”.
“Hemos comprobado que ante la falta de respuesta en la línea 0800 de IOMA, nuestros vecinos deben acudir al #107 para pedir un traslado de urgencia y terminan deambulando por los distintos centros asistenciales en los cuales los pertenecientes al sector privado en muchos casos les niegan la atención y en los del sector público no hay disponibilidad”, concluyó.
