Autoridades del Consorcio Portuario Regional Mar del Plata mantuvieron una reunión con dirigentes gremiales de la actividad portuaria con la intención de generar nuevas alternativas que permitan reactivar la mano de obra en los muelles de esta jurisdicción y dejaron claro que quieren un puerto productivo y activo.
Los participantes plantearon propuestas y medidas que contribuirían a la generación de trabajo, intercambio que se da en el marco de una fluida relación con los referentes de estos sectores.
En el encuentro se coincidió en la necesidad de adoptar medidas concretas para incentivar que barcos denominados poteros y que habitualmente amarran en otras terminales (Necochea, Bahía Blanca, Puerto Madryn o Comodoro Rivadavia) puedan ingresar periódicamente al puerto marplatense y descargar aquí sus capturas, con lo que se generarían demanda de estiba local, procesamiento de esos productos en plantas locales y/o consolidado en contenedores.
A tales efectos, el interventor del Consorcio Portuario Regional Mar del Plata, Matías Machinandiarena, ofreció ceder un espacio para el atraque de estos buques, lo que no afectaría la operatoria de otros similares que tienen asiento permanente en este puerto.
De la reunión, encabezada por Machinandiarena y el asesor Daniel Sosa participaron el titular del Sindicato Único de Portuarios Argentinos (SUPA), Carlos Mezzamico, y Julio Vega.
El planteo había nacido en el gremio y de las prestadoras que reúnen a unos 800 estibadores que se desempeñan en este puerto y en los últimos meses han visto mermar la demanda de trabajo a partir de la caída que registra la actividad pesquera.
