El ex secretario general de la CGT local y delegado regional del Ministerio de Trabajo de la provincia, José “Pepe” San Martín, murió en las últimas horas.
El anuncio lo hizo el Partido Justicialista local a través de su cuenta de Twitter, donde se comunicó el deceso del dirigente gremial “con profundo dolor”.
También se expresó el jefe del bloque de concejales del Frente de Todos, Marcos Gutiérrez: “Lamento profundamente la pérdida del compañero José Pepe San Martín. Un abrazo a toda su familia y sus compañeros y compañeras”.
En el mismo sentido se expresó Rodolfo Manino Iriart, quien dijo: “Lamento mucho el fallecimiento de Pepe San Martín. Mis condolencias a familiares, amigos y compañeros”.
“Compañero de discusiones, de debate, de largas charlas, donde el final siempre era el encuentro. Luchador incansable. Defensor de causas justas. Deseo que descanses en paz querido Pepe”, concluyó Iriart.
La referente del radicalismo, Vilma Baragiola, dijo por su parte: “Muchos años de cruzarnos en la calle de la militancia. Lamento profundamente el fallecimiento de José Pepe San Martín. Mi pésame a su familia, amigos y compañeros de militancia. Hasta siempre amigo”.
San Martín era actualmente congresal del Partido Justicialista. Antes, fue un referente del Sindicato de Empleados de Casinos.
En cuanto a su actividad política, en 2017 se presentó como precandidato a concejal por Cumplir, la fuerza política liderada por Florencio Randazzo. Y en 2019 volvió a buscar una banca en el Concejo por el Frente de Todos.
