Este domingo 13 a las 17:00 en Teatro Estudio (Independencia 2233) se realizará una función especial del ciclo Cine Debate con la proyección de “Encuentros en el fin del mundo” de Werner Herzog.
Durante el verano austral, en un inhóspito paraje del sur de la Antártida, viven cientos de hombres y mujeres que, a través del proyecto McMurdo, comparten un mismo sueño: llegar a entender el origen del planeta Tierra.
Sus historias han llevado al reconocido director alemán a adentrarse en los confines del mundo, acompañado únicamente por un camarógrafo, para explorar la cara más oculta de los paisajes antárticos.
En un ambiente tan desolador como bello y convertido en un miembro más de la curiosa comunidad allí constituida, Herzog retrata por primera vez las relaciones cotidianas que se establecen entre los habitantes de la estación y la naturaleza que los rodea.
“Encuentros en el fin del mundo” fue nominado al Oscar de la Academia en 2007.
