En un clima de profunda emoción, se llevó a cabo en Mar del Plata el acto de homenaje al ex Presidente Raúl Alfonsín, al cumplirse 12 años de su fallecimiento. La iniciativa surgió de distintos sectores que consideran vigentes las ideas progresistas del alfonsinismo, como son EPA (Espacio de Pensamiento Alfonsinista), MNA (Movimiento Nacional Alfonsinista), Progresistas, Abrazo Ciudadano, Concertación FORJA, IGUALAR y CEG (Centro de Estudio y Gestión Ciudadana).
Hicieron uso de la palabra Mario Rodríguez y Dorita García (ex concejales radicales), Edgardo Díaz (presidente de FORJA MdP – Batán), Leandro Lavintman (vicepresidente UCR MdP – Batán) y Roberto ¨Chucho¨ Páez (concejal FdT). En sus palabras, destacaron las cualidades de Raúl Alfonsín como político y gobernante, pero además reflejaron con claridad sus calidades personales.
¨Seguramente Raúl Alfonsín estaría hoy bregando por la unidad nacional, como lo hizo toda su vida, instándonos a trabajar de manera mancomunada, dejando de lado nuestras diferencias, para ayudar a nuestro país en esta difícil coyuntura de pandemia¨, afirmaron.
¨Alfonsín siempre nos convocó a seguir ideas y en eso estamos empeñados. No tenemos dudas que estaría feliz de ver a radicales, peronistas y socialistas, como hoy y aquí reunidos, ya que entendemos que es el mejor homenaje que le podemos hacer¨, coincidieron.
Luego de las palabras, a manera de homenaje perenne al líder radical, se plantó un árbol al lado del busto emplazado en el Paseo que lleva su nombre.
Se hicieron presentes, además de los oradores ya nombrados, Gabriel Felizia (presidente del Consorcio Portuario Regional), Jorge Salvador (ex concejal radical), Mario Raiteri (convencional nacional UCR), Pablo Vázquez (ex secretario general de Franja Morada y ex presidente del CEH y la FUM), Alberto Rodríguez (secretario general de la delegación del PSOE en Mar del Plata), Ester Silva (Mujeres FORJA) e Iñaki Uribarri (Juventud FORJA), etcétera.
Enviaron adhesiones Vito Amalfitano (concejal FdT), Pablo Farías (ex diputado provincial), César Martucci (ex diputado nacional), Leopoldo Moreau (diputado nacional); Juan José Cardozo, Guillermo Chielli y Hugo Gariglio (Centro Cultural FORJARTE – La Plata).
