La Dirección Nacional de Migraciones formalizó ayer una denuncia penal contra un viajero contagiado con la variante Delta del coronavirus que incumplió el aislamiento obligatorio dispuesto para todos aquellos que ingresen al país desde el exterior.
“Luego de que el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación confirmó nueve casos positivos de variante Delta en viajeros provenientes de Estados Unidos, México y Paraguay, la Dirección Nacional de Migraciones informó que detectó el incumplimiento de la cuarentena obligatoria de una de las personas reportadas por Salud durante un operativo de control aleatorio llevado a cabo el 1 de julio, por lo cual se formalizó una denuncia”, se informó este martes.
El personal de Migraciones concurrió hasta el domicilio del viajero en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, según la dirección aportada en la declaración jurada del viajante que ingresó a la Argentina el pasado 26 de junio desde Miami, añadió el comunicado.
En ese marco, la dependencia a cargo de Florencia Carignano contó que en el operativo, “ante la imprecisa información aportada por el viajero en su declaración jurada, el personal pudo constatar el piso de la vivienda, dado que sólo había reportado la dirección de la propiedad horizontal, y finalmente se constató su ausencia”.
“También se lo llamó por teléfono, pero no respondió”, aclaró.

A partir de esta situación, Migraciones formalizó una denuncia penal por el incumplimiento, dentro de los operativos articulados que se desarrollan en todo el país, junto a fuerzas federales y en articulación con todos los distritos.
En ese marco, con casi 4.700 personas relevadas en toda la Argentina, Migraciones continúa con los operativos para acreditar que quienes ingresan al país realicen el aislamiento obligatorio en los domicilios que consignan en las declaraciones juradas.
“Tenemos que continuar insistiendo en que la gente respete el aislamiento como forma de cuidarnos mejor entre todos y todas”, señaló Carignano en el parte de prensa.
“En estos momentos de avance de las nuevas variantes, es fundamental que tomemos los recaudos necesarios para impedir la circulación comunitaria”, remarcó la titular de Migraciones.
Hasta el momento, en Argentina no se han confirmado casos con variante Delta en personas sin antecedentes de viaje al exterior o relacionados con un viajero internacional, según la cartera sanitaria.
Según las estadísticas, a partir del momento en que Migraciones se sumó a los operativos que realizan las jurisdicciones, el organismo pudo constatar que los niveles de incumplimiento se redujeron a la mitad, de un 40% al inicio de los operativos a un 20% en la actualidad.
Los últimos datos que se manejan desde el Gobierno nacional indican que ciudad de Buenos Aires registra un nivel de incumplimiento superior al promedio general (alrededor de un 30%) mientras que en provincia de Buenos Aires la tendencia es inversa: 17% de incumplimiento contra un 20% de promedio general..
